Introductory Design Class

Secure crimping and proper wirework form the basis of professional beaded jewelry. The small class size ensures that you will have plenty of close instruction from our skilled class facilitators.The projects you will create offer plenty of practice in these areas and we are there to empower your creative side.

Designing is an important part of the preparation, please allow enough time for this process. This is done one week prior to the class, as the 2 hour evening is technique and instruction. Many people prefer to break this up into more than one visit. Our designers are here to assist and to ensure that you have everything needed for your projects.

Chain Class

This class is designed to ensure that you are familiar with wrapping techniques to create chain necklaces and join stones to chain and each other. Your necklace will have 7 sections of chain, with 7 insertions. One insertion must be a 3 stone/bead series so that we can practice wrapping stone to stone. One other section must be a connector. We recommend that you have taken our beginner bead class or have a working knowledge of wire wrapping and use of the jewelry tools.

Cuff Class

This is an intimate class where you will learn to create a stunning bracelet made of wire and semi precious stones or pearls of your choice. These bracelets often have a very organic, unstructured look.

Selecting your stones for the bracelet is an important part of the preparation for the class. Please come in to choose your stones at least one week prior to class and allow yourself plenty of time for this process. Our designers are here to assist and ensure that you have everything needed for your project.

The 2 hour evening class is for technique only, and the small class size ensures that you have lots of guidance and instruction.

This is an intimate class where you will learn to create a wire worked ring made of semi precious briolette stones of your choice. These rings are all the rage and we’ve seen them priced for thousands of dollars. Learn to make one at a fraction of that price.

This is an intimate class where you will learn to create a stunning free form brooch made of semi precious stones or pearls of your choice. These brooches often have a very organic, unstructured look.

Jig Class

This is an intimate class where you will learn to create four components for jewellery making on a jig. You will use a mallot and a steel block and a nylon plier for finishing these components. The tools will be given to you in class, however you will be able to buy them as well.

Fringe Earring and Necklace Class

This class is designed to ensure that you are familiar with the “fringe” wrapping technique to create a cluster of stones on top of your focal stone. Lots of wrapping and wire work make for a fun class.

Wave Earring and Pendant Class

This is an intimate class where you will learn to create stunning wire worked earrings and pendant using the jig to make your form. The rest of the projects are adding semi-precious stones or pearls of your choice.

Tree of Life Pendant Class

This is an intimate class where you will learn to create a “Tree of Life” pendent. Selecting your stones is an important part of the preparation for the class. Please come in to choose your stones at least one week prior to the class.

Vine Class

In this class you will create a beautiful pair of Vine earrings. Starting with a hoop as your frame you will create a vine with stones on it inside the hoop frame. A side-drilled wrap will be done and the briolette attached to the bottom of the hoop to create an illusion of a vine with blossoms.”
