Skanda designers

Along side with Mary are designers who help create custom designed jewelery, each of whom have their own fantastic, ahead-of-trend designs.

Mary Wakefield

Mary Wakefield, designer and owner of Skanda, travels around the world to work personally with gold and silversmiths as well as stonecutters and drillers of gemstones. It is this extensive network of gemhouses and craftsmen that allow Skanda to bring you the most unique and highest quality gemstones that the world has to offer.

Karin Holdegaard

Karin Holdegaard has been designing her own jewellery since 1983 and had her own jewellery label in the 1990's, selling throughout North America, Japan and Mexico. She loves working at Skanda with such an interesting, creative team and most enjoys working with clients, finding the creative exchange very fulfilling. "It is great to see someone, who is shy about their creativity, evolve in their design ideas and become enlightened about their work."

Rachel Anderson

Born into a creative family, Rachel has been crafting and making jewellery most of her life. At Skanda, Rachel enjoys encouraging each client in their creative process to create gorgeous jewellery for themselves.

Karen Grace

Karen Grace has a degree in Fashion Design from Ryerson University. She designed her own line of clothing for many years before beginning to design jewellery for Skanda. Karen teaches most of the classes, and loves to inspire people to discover their inner creativity. She loves working in Skanda's tranquil atmosphere, co-creating with the lovely Skanda ladies—staff and clients included.
